The short version

We only receive what you choose to send us through a form, the chat, a call or an email, plus the basic logs every web server keeps.
We use it to reply to you and to provide what you asked for. We don’t sell it, rent it or use it for advertising.
Newsletter consent is separate and never ticked for you. You can withdraw it by emailing us.
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by writing to info@gforceit.ca.

Who we are

This website is run by G-FORCE IT SERVICES INC. (“G-Force”, “we”), which provides managed IT services and IT training. Our head office is at 130 King Street West, Suite 1900, Toronto, ON M5X 1E3.

We handle personal information under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and send commercial email under Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL). This policy covers the website at gforceit.ca. Work we do for clients and learners is also covered by the written agreement we sign with each of them.

What we collect

We only receive information that you send us, or that your browser sends when it loads a page.

What we don’t collect

No analytics, advertising or social media tracking of any kind.
No payment details. This site doesn’t take payments.
We never ask for passwords. Please don’t send passwords, health information or other sensitive details through a form; call us instead.

How we use it

To reply to you and give you what you asked for: an assessment, a quote, course details or a report.
To provide services or training if you become a client or learner, under a separate written agreement.
To send the monthly newsletter, only if you asked for it.
To keep this website secure and working.
To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping business and tax records.

We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t use it to build advertising profiles. If we ever want to use it for a purpose that isn’t listed here, we will ask you first.

Email and Canada’s anti-spam law

Replying to your enquiry isn’t marketing. We will email you about what you asked for.
Marketing email, such as the newsletter, only goes to people who have asked for it.
You can withdraw newsletter consent at any time by emailing us with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line.
We act on an unsubscribe request within 10 business days, as CASL requires. You can also unsubscribe by writing to info@gforceit.ca.

Who else handles it

Website hosting and email services process the information needed to deliver pages and messages. Contact us if you would like details about the providers involved in handling a particular enquiry.

Email. Email providers handle messages sent to and from our inbox.
Website hosting. The hosting service delivers these pages and may process technical request data and server logs.
OpenStreetMap. Only if you click “Show map”. Your browser then loads the map from the OpenStreetMap Foundation, which receives your IP address as any website you visit would.
Your own email. When a form prepares a message for Gmail, Outlook or your email app, you review and send it there. Your email provider then handles it under its own policy. Opening a prepared email does not send it automatically.

Provider processing and storage locations can vary. Email info@gforceit.caif you need information about where a message or record is handled before sharing sensitive information.

Cookies and browser storage

This site doesn’t set cookies, and it doesn’t use analytics or advertising tools.

If you switch between the light and dark themes, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name gf-theme, so the site remembers it next time. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes it.

The security checklist saves your ticks in your browser under gf-security-checklist-v1 so they are there next time; they never leave your device, and “Clear all ticks” removes them.

Third-party services can set their own cookies, but only if you use them: the map after you click “Show map”, and a booking calendar if you choose to book online.

How long we keep it

Retention depends on the type of information, the purpose of the enquiry, any service agreement and applicable record-keeping requirements. Contact info@gforceit.ca to ask what information is held about you, how long it will be kept, or to request deletion.

Theme preferences and saved checklist ticks remain in your own browser until you clear them. Email and hosting providers may retain their own operational records under their policies; we can help you identify the provider relevant to your enquiry.

How we protect it

The website does not ask for account passwords or payment details. Please do not include passwords, health information or other sensitive records in a contact form or chat message. Contact us first to discuss an appropriate way to share them.

For questions about access to your information, storage or the safeguards relevant to a particular service, email info@gforceit.ca.

If a breach of our safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as PIPEDA requires. We keep a record of every breach, whatever its size.

Seeing, correcting or deleting it

You can ask us:

what personal information we hold about you, what we use it for and who we have shared it with;
to correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
to delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
to stop emailing you.

Write to info@gforceit.ca. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we share anything. We reply within 30 days, as PIPEDA requires, and there is no charge.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell the people affected before it takes effect.
